Decking Support System
When installing decking, it is a requirement that it is laid on a level and solid foundation. As this foundation is most often raised from ground level to create a platform, it is a necessity that the sub-structure which supports the decking is as strong and long lasting as possible. Once the decking boards have been fixed to a sub-frame, it becomes a difficult task to remove the boards should problems arise with the structure below.
For this reason, we have put together a collection of recycled plastic profiles which can be used to create a highly durable and structurally capable sub-frame that will not rot or disintegrate over time, unlike a wood equivalent. Comprising of four main components: a post, a joist, a bearer and a pedestal/cradle, the sub-frame can be constructed to practically any size, shape and height. These recycled plastic sub-frame profiles can be cut and worked with in the same way you would natural wood, meaning there are no specific or specialist tools needed to construct the decking base.
